ANTI-THEFT MARKING FROM SECURMARK CONSISTS OF:

Concealed marking Thousands of unique ID microdots are sprayed into cavities in the boat. The microdots cannot be removed by thieves. A single microdot is enough to identify the owner of the boat.

The police, customs service and our dealers have the equipment required to detect the microdots and identify the boats rightful owner.

Visible marking An engraved ID number and visible warning labels show that your boat carry Securmark anti-theft marks and cannot be sold as stolen goods. The ID number is engraved in a number of places on the boat.

Engraved ID numbers and warning labels have a preventive effect. We mark both boat and engine with a number of ID numbers and labels. These are clearly visible and difficult to remove.

Updated database The ID number is stored together with information about the owner in Securmark’s updated database. The police and customs service can quickly identify the rightful owner should the boat end up in the wrong hands.
