When you buy a boat that is anti-theft marked by the manufacturer, the marking must be registered to the boat owner. We call this activation. This can be done here.

When you buy a boat/PWC it must be re-registered to you. We recommend that the seller carries out the change of ownership via My Page. Change of ownership can also be done on this page. Note that we require you to provide documentation (a sales contract or similar).

Yes! Warning labels have a strong preventive effect and we recommend that they are clearly visible. Send an email with your Securmark number, name and address to mail@securmark.no, and we will send you new labels free of charge.
Between 2,500 and 10,000 microdots, depending on the size of the equipment being marked (boat, engine, PWC etc.). Read more about anti-theft marking here.
No. Our anti-theft marking does not include tracking.
The microdots are sprayed onto different parts of the boat/engine/PWC (in cavities), and the boat manufacturers and our dealers do this in accordance with our instructions. The microdots are not visible, but the police, customs service and our partners have special equipment for detecting the dots. Remember that a single microdot is enough to identify the boat/engine/PWC.
No. The product only leaves identification traces and does not damage the equipment.

Our database contains information about a large number of anti-theft marked units and their owners. The database is searchable at all times by the police, customs service and border police in most of Europa. It is also possible for insurance companies and rescue services to search our database.
